Merry Christmas, Happy Yule!

Merry Christmas!
Sorry I haven't updated lately. I have been so busy working, running, getting ready for Christmas and my trip to Albuquerque NM to visit family!

I'm back from my trip, it was great! I am so glad to be back home in the country though! Too much hustle and bustle and traffic in the city!

I will be starting some new projects and wire wrapping as soon as I clear away decorations and straighten up the house!
Happy holidays to all!

Happy Samhain!

Halloween is this week, and I couldn't wait to carve this pumpkin! Been waiting for 2 months! This pumpkin won "Best Of Fair" and 1st place in the Duncan County fair this year.....

I never tried any of those fancy patterns until today. I pretty much screwed them up!
All the white areas are flour and cat scratches. All my cats have been using the pumpkin for a scratching post while it sat on the porch. That's Jazz "helping". The flour was supposed to help me find my dots! All it did was fill in all the scratches and jazz rolled in it and had it all over himself! Hahahaha!
As always, I had alot of fun with it.

Havelinas in our yard!

Living out in the country never ceases to amaze me. There have been 3 havelinas hanging out in in our garden, eating our tomatoes, snorting around our yards. When I took this picture, they just stood there staring at me and then went back to their snacking on my weeds!

I LOVE this time of year!

I can already feel the change in temperature here in Arizona. It's getting cooler in the mornings and evenings, some rain in the afternoon.
I love fall! Seems like I do everything backwards....I do my spring cleaning in the fall, I get rid of things, let go of the old, cook more, spend time outdoors more, and I feel invigorated! Energized!

These are some of the pumpkins from our garden..... and our front porch.

Been Busy again!

I am making some "Skinny Scarf" sets with matching earrings. They work up fast, and keep my non-smoking hands busy!
I also ordered some little jewelry boxes and purple organza gift bags that are great for earrings and bracelets.

Camping, swimming, and

New Bracelet~ "Lime Sherbet"

I have been wanting to sit down and just "bead" without worrying too much about the stitch count or any real pattern. I love to see what comes out as I just sit and work with different colors.

This bracelet looks like Lime sherbet to me....how about you?

Got another one I'm working on....coming shortly!

Copper is beautiful!

I was browsing some of the blogs of crafters and found a cool lady who makes some beautiful wire wrapped jewelry. Some of her things are made with copper and are so unique! Check her work out! Be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom for the copper pieces.... http://mysticmooma.blogspot.com/

Here is a piece of copper my boyfriend gave me to do with as I pleased....
He found it out here where we live by a big open pit copper mine.

Some beaded crystals....

Here are a couple of the crystals I found on my rock hunts. Some are too big to wire wrap, so I decided to bead on them with tiny Delicas.....I think I'll call them "Crystal Babies"....pretty to set out in decorative boxes, or to give to friends as good luck crystals.

More Turquoise jewelry~

I have had these slabs of cut Turquoise for a long time....I wrapped this one with copper wire, kept it simple by making a leather thong tie for it....wear with or without the pendant~ Turn it around and tie in front for a different look.

(Cant catch most of them either!)

KATH AND ME

KATH AND ME
Kath was my best friend, even during her addictions, her confusion, her instability. I remember who she REALLY was... a loving, compasionate, giving, funny-as-hell, kick ass woman. Kathy... I love and miss you so much . My heart hurts because I couldn't help you and had to detach. I was so honored that ya waited for me to be with you when you crossed over. Keep on kickin' ass on the other side babe.
